basic plans

So because I know thebasic layout of the area already I have planned out the playing area, I still need to work out what shops are where and the actual shapes of the buildings but I'll be heading out with a camera soon and getting reference for all the buildings in the area.
The level will be 3 floors high with access to the 1st and rooftops levels accessible via the team spawn areas and via destruction within the buildings, the destroyed areas on buildings are yet to be planned.

And so it begins.....

Hi,
This blog is a development diary for a small project I am working on, the project is to create a small level for the unreal engine based on my home town St helens. The map will be suited for team and solo deathmatch.

My basic idea is to create a war torn version of the church square in the main town, so expect destroyed buildings and rubble everywhere. This project will be an exercise in modelling using 3d studio max and Zbrush with texturing done in photoshop.

Although this is a 1 man team at the moment I will be looking to expand the team with other members of my class at uni.
